2025 Gerri Allen School Communicator of the Year
Congratulations to Berkley Schools Director of Communications Jessica Stigler, APR for capturing the prestigious 2025 Gerri Allen School Communicator of the year award! Recognized for her leadership, professionalism, communication excellence and meaningful community impact, Jessica was presented with the highest individual honor a school communicator can receive in Michigan during the Berkley School Board of Education meeting on December 8, 2025.
For more than 13 years, Jessica has strengthened Berkley Schools through intentional, thoughtful and inclusive communication. She has led district rebranding efforts, piloted and improved a new website, co-led strategic planning, and built strong partnerships across the community. Her work helped bring ArtSpace to life, created deeper connections with families, and raised record-breaking dollars for student programs through the Berkley Education Foundation.
Jessica’s leadership shines through her commitment to belonging and inclusion and her mentorship of school communicators across Michigan. She approaches every challenge with clarity and care, always keeping students and families at the center. And when Berkley embarked on its $88 million bond campaign, she applied the RPIE framework with precision, resulting in a 69 percent approval and statewide and national recognition.
Congratulations to Jessica Stilger, APR, MSPRA’s 2025 Gerri Allen School Communicator of the Year!
