Holly McCaw, APR, Honored in July 2025 at the NSPRA Annual Seminar in Washington, D.C.

Holly McCaw, APR, Director of Communications for Otsego Public Schools and Past-President of the Michigan School Public Relations Association (MSPRA), was recognized this week by the Otsego Board of Education for earning the National School Public Relations Association’s (NSPRA) prestigious Learning and Liberty Legacy Leader Award.

The award, announced at the NSPRA Annual Seminar in Washington, D.C. this past July, honors members who have made a lasting, positive impact on the careers of their colleagues while working tirelessly to advance education and communication. MSPRA nominated Holly in recognition of her deep public relations expertise, her willingness to offer wise counsel, and her many contributions to the profession.

Over her 8 years of service on the MSPRA Board—concluding this month—Holly has helped elevate school PR across Michigan. She mentors colleagues, fosters strong two-way communication in her district, and guides students in developing their own communication skills. At Otsego Public Schools, she leads the OPS O Town News class, where high school students produce a weekly newscast, and teaches a communications course through the OPS Early College Program in partnership with Lake Michigan College, serving about 125 students countywide.

A sought-after presenter at both MSPRA and NSPRA events, Holly generously shares her knowledge and passion for the field. On behalf of MSPRA, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Holly for being a true Learning and Liberty Legacy Leader.
