Scheidel Named Mideast 2015-16 NSPRA Front Runner

Tom Scheidel, Public and Media Relations Coordinator for Allegan Area Educational Service Agency (AAESA), was recently named "2015-16 Front Runner for the Mideast Region" by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).

Troy Superintendent Wins MSPRA 2015 Supt Communicator Award

The Michigan School Public Relations Association has named Richard Machesky, superintendent of the Troy School District, its 2015 Outstanding Superintendent Communicator.

Communications Contest - DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MAY 29, 2015

The Michigan School Public Relations Contest will take on a new shape this year.  MSPRA will have an online, electronic submission for entries. The contest will be coordinated by MSPRA Board member, Karen Heath from Berrien RESA.  We will use a tool called Pitch Burner.  The online application can be found here.

Allen Named MSPRA Executive Director

Lansing, Michigan-The Michigan School Public Relations Association (MSPRA)-Michigan's award-winning association dedicated to advancing student achievement and success through responsible communication-has named Communication Consultant, Gerri Allen, as its Executive Director. Allen, a long-time MSPRA board member, Past-President and former Treasurer, will assist the association with member services and professional development activities. She begins the part-time post in March.

MSPRA Annual Conference

Join us for the Michigan School Public Relations Association Annual Conference on March 12 and 13 with featured speaker Superintendent Kelly E. Middleton, Newport, Kentucky Schools.


Mr. Middleton will hold two keynote sessions: Building Relationships that Spark Student Success and Recovering from Mistakes. You can register online or by filling out the registration form and sending it to our office.
