DEADLINE EXTENDED: Creating Gender Inclusive Schools

YOU NOW HAVE UNTIL MONDAY, OCTOBER 24 TO REGISTER.  Come and learn how to create a truly inclusive school, gain a sharper understanding of gender, and learn how to respond to issues raised by community members at MSPRA's Fall Drive-In Conference    on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Kellogg Center in E. Congratulations 2016 Communication Contest Winners

Forty-two entries were judged, with 19 earning the title of Distinguished, and 13 designated Commendable. Entries were received from across Michigan.

Publications are judged on content, readability and appearance; video productions are evaluated on product quality, content and appeal; and projects or programs are judged on content, appeal and focus/clarity.

Congratulations 2016 Superintendent Communicator of the Year
The MSPRA Board would like to recognize and congratulate Mr. Jamie Cain, Superintendent of Port Huron Schools, for being selected this year's Outstanding Superintendent Communicator of the Year!   Cain created a dedicated Communications Department for Port Huron Schools, hiring a first-ever Director of Community Relations and Marketing. He has worked closely and consistently with the Director and local media across all platforms to create a clear, cohesive and accessible voice for the school district.

Professional Development Offerings are Exemplary

We are pleased to announce that MSPRA has received the 2016 National School Public Relations Assocation (NSPRA) Mark of Distinction Award as an Exemplary Chapter in the Special Focus Area: Professional Development/PR Skill Building. The judges were impressed with the extensive professional development opportunities offered throughout the year and the support and recognition MSPRA provides for members.
